Seed Starting Mix - Peat Based

The Garage Gardener's special peat based blend perfect for seed starting. No hidden ingredients, just the basics to start your seedlings off with success. Our mix is a blend of Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss, Perlite, Vermiculite, Worm Castings and a touch of pulverized garden lime (to adjust PH).

The addition of worm castings give you a head start on feeding your seedlings between the time the seed itself provides nutrients and your first feeding with fertilizer. The worm castings provide a gentle mix of essential nutrients to feed your young seedlings.

NOTE: Seed Starting mix does not contain necessary nutrients to continue plant growth beyond germination, continued fertilization is required to continue strong plant growth until transplant.
