Our 6 cell pack comes with 3-5 plants per cell giving you 18-30 plants per 6 pack. Separate each plant before planting or thin them out to the healthiest ones. These onions should be planted 4 - 6" apart per plant.
The Red Geneva is an heirloom, long-day Cipollini-type onion known for its flattened shape, vibrant magenta skin, and excellent storage potential. Originating from Swiss biodynamic breeders, it is prized for a mild yet zesty flavor that works well for both raw consumption and roasting.
Growing & Harvest Characteristic
Maturity: This variety typically takes 105 days to reach maturity from transplant.
Planting: For best results, sow seeds indoors 10–12 weeks before the last frost. Direct sow 1/4" deep in full sun once the soil is workable.
Spacing: Space plants 3–4" apart for medium-sized onions, or up to 6" for larger bulbs.
Storage: Harvest when the tops dry and flop over. Once cured for 2 weeks, they can be braided for kitchen decor or stored for 4–5 months in a cool, dry place.
