A cyclamen is a flowering plant that grows from a tuber and features heart-shaped leaves, often patterned with silver or gray, and distinctive, recurved flowers in shades of pink, red, or white. Native to Europe and the Mediterranean, these plants are known for blooming in winter and are popular as cool-weather houseplants or annuals in milder climates. They require cool temperatures, filtered light, and well-draining soil.

Appearance:
Leaves:Heart-shaped to rounded, with a dark green color. Many varieties have attractive silver, gray, or white markings. The undersides are often purple.
Flowers:Gracefully twisted or upswept petals, often described as having a "mouth" of a darker color. They are typically white, pink, or red
Overall:The plant grows from a tuber and can reach up to 10 inches tall, with flowers rising on leafless stems above the foliage.

Growing conditions:
Light:Bright, filtered light is ideal. Direct sunlight can be harmful, so a north-facing window is often recommended.
Water:Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil is dry, but avoid getting water in the center of the plant (crown), as this can cause rot. Water less when the plant is dormant.
Soil:Prefers well-drained, organically rich soil.

Other:
Native habitat: Europe, the Mediterranean, and parts of Western Asia and North Africa. Blooming cycle: Blooms for a period of 6–8 weeks, often in the winter, and then enters a summer dormancy period.
Toxicity: The tubers and roots are poisonous, so they should be kept away from pets and children.

For delivery orders, we will contact you to set up an exact delivery time. Due to the tender nature of perennials, we want to ensure someone is home to accept the delivery and the plant is not exposed to cold weather.
